3. To help children to become literate, numerate and to develop their scientific and technological thinking and develop their artistic abilities.
4. To help children develop personal, moral and spiritual values, respect for religious values, and tolerance of other races, religions and ways of life.
5. To help children develop a respect for the environment and to understand the world in which they live.
6. To help children to become aware of the way in which the world has been shaped by events and by the actions and achievements of people of the past.
7. To help children develop confidence, self-respect and self-discipline.
8. To help children develop their physical skills and to encourage an awareness of health and personal well-being. “St. John’s Church of England Primary School has an excellent ethos.
